Tuesday, June 7th, deputies from the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station were conducting a crime suppression operation when they spotted a vehicle with expired tags "driving erratically" near Apple and Lyons Ave. Upon questioning the driver, deputies discovered he was on active parole. On the afternoon of Monday, November 25th, deputies responded to a call on Grape Lilly Circle in Newhall. According to reports, a verbal argument broke out between the suspect and the victim, which quickly escalated into a physical altercation when the suspect started punching the victim in the face. LASD detectives working out of the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station are investigating two commercial burglaries that happened right next door to each other in Newhall. According to reports, the two suspects were caught on video breaking a glass window at the Popeye's Chicken in Newhall.
