LASD DUI Enforcement Set to Begin on December 16
As we near the end of the year, the LASD will be cracking down on drivers exhibiting signs of impaired driving, whether it be alcohol or drugs. Dubbed the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" enforcement campaign, police will begin to look more closely at drivers for possible signs of impairment, and getting those they find off the roads. Last week saw a pretty terrifying scenario play out in Agua Dulce. According to Santa Clarita Sheriff Station deputies, a little girl was sitting on her grandfather's lap in his Agua Dulce mobile home when a stranger armed with a knife entered. The stranger, Thomas Ray Dillingham, brandished a large kitchen knife and allegedly told the grandfather, Oscar Mendez, that he was "taking the baby."
