Mountainview Elementary School in Saugus Vandalized

Mountainview Elementary School in Saugus was vandalized last week by unknown suspects. The break-in appears to have occurred overnight, during which the suspects destroyed the school's computer lab, toppled bookcases in the library, smashed televisions and ripped screens from various classroom windows. Murder Suspect Arrested in Newhall

The murder suspect arrested in Newhall was sought by SCV Sheriff Station deputies for the July 11 shooting death of 25-year-old Ivan Solis. The suspect, J. Arreola was detained and held in lieu of $2 million dollars bail. The alleged murder occurred in the early morning hours of July 11, 2017 when someone reported what sounded like gunfire to the SCV 911 operator. At about 11:15 am on June 2oth, a woman walking through the parking garage near the Edwards Theater at the Valencia Town Center noticed a heavily panting dog inside a car parked on the bottom floor. The vehicle was parked in a spot designated for a maximum of 90-minute parking only and waited for awhile for the owner of the car to return.
