On Sunday, November 10th, a Castaic woman was arrested by deputies on suspicion of DUI causing injury. According to reports, deputies from the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station responded to the scene of a 3-vehicle accident on Golden Valley Road. Santa Clarita Man Pleads No Contest to Charges
Recently, a Canyon Country man was arrested and charged with making annoying phone calls for the second time. The man, A. Soto, was previously arrested in September for the same alleged crime. He was scheduled to appear in court to face charges this week. When asked to enter a plea, Soto pleaded "no contest" to the misdemeanor charge of making annoying phone calls. He is scheduled to appear in court again in January of 2020 for a progress report.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon Suspect Arrested in Newhall
A Newhall man was recently arrested under suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after he hit a neighbor with a table leg during a dispute. According to reports, deputies responded to a call around 1 pm on Friday, October 11th on Vasquez Road in Canyon Country. Upon their arrival, deputies observed the suspect and the victim engaged in a heated verbal exchange which quickly became physical when the suspect hit the victim with a wooden table leg.
