On the evening of Thursday, August 5th, a Santa Clarita Sheriff Station deputy performed a traffic stop near Via Princessa and Sierra Highway. As the deputy approached the vehicle and asked for the driver's identification, the suspect quickly sped away, hitting the officer with the side of the vehicle and knocking him to the ground. Recently, deputies working out of the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station responded to a domestic violence call in Valencia. When they arrived, they discovered money, narcotics, and paraphernalia, as well as mail and credit cards, addressed to people other than the suspects.
