Recently, a woman was stopped under suspicion of drunk driving in Newhall. The woman was pulled over on a dead-end street, but when deputies approached the vehicle, the woman quickly took off, turned around, and escaped after damaging two squad cars.
The suspect took off toward another wash near 16th street, though the chase was cut short when her car stalled out on a service road. The woman was immediately arrested after the chase, and neither the suspect nor any deputies were injured.

Car Robbery Suspect Arrested in Santa Clarita
On Saturday, November 29, a woman was arrested in the parking lot between Sprouts and Target on Magic Mountain Parkway by investigators with the CHP. Deputies working out of the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station assisted the CHP by setting up a perimeter, but it is believed that a second suspect, a man, eluded capture by running into the nearby wash.
