Santa Clarita Begins Driver Safety Campaign

The slew of vehicle-related deaths and collisions that have recently occurred in the Santa Clarita Valley has prompted the city and the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station to team up and launch a safety campaign aimed at local drivers. The safety campaign will consist of changes to traffic engineering as an increased focus by law enforcement officers in the area. Canyon Country Suspect Declared Competent

In February of last year, Jessica Paige Greenback was arrested under suspicion of murder. It's alleged that she shot her brother and father in the head after a dispute in their Canyon Country apartment. During pretrial proceedings, questions as to Greenback's competency to stand trial were brought up by her attorney, and she was subsequently transferred to a mental health center to be given an evaluation.
