A Santa Clarita couple was recently arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance for sale. Last week, deputies performing a probation compliance check at a Saugus home found several baggies of methamphetamine. They also found contraband associated with the sale of narcotics (usually, this includes items such as scales, small plastic baggies, rubber bands, and more).

SCV Deputies’ Fireworks Warning
Recently, city officials put out a public warning regarding the use of fireworks in the Santa Clarita Valley on or around July 4th. SCV firefighters demonstrated that sparklers could light clothes on fire and blow up watermelons simply by touching them. Man Questioned Regarding Carjacking
Recently, deputies working out of the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station detained someone in relation to a carjacking that happened in early June. During the incident, the victim was shot but survived. The detainee was a 20-year-old man from Lancaster. Investigators questioned him about his involvement in the carjacking but did not end up arresting him.
