Deputies working out of the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station provide the law enforcement needs to the community of Val Verde. When someone is arrested in or around the area, they are taken to the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station where they will undergo the booking and processing procedure. Once complete, bail will be set for those who are eligible and it will be possible to obtain their release via bail bond.

Those who are not bailed out within 72-hours will likely be transferred to one of the larger jails in downtown Los Angeles. Males are sent to Twin Towers Correctional Facility and females are sent to the Lynwood Jail. Upon transfer, an inmate will need to go through another round of processing that will require they remain in custody for at least 12 to 24-hours. During this round of processing, they will be ineligible for bail. In order to ensure the quickest release possible, it is usually best to get the bail bond process started while the inmate is still located at the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station, as doing so can often avoid the transfer process altogether.

Booking and Processing

The booking and processing procedure is likely something you’re already familiar with, whether or not you’ve ever been arrested yourself. It’s the process that happens immediately after an inmate is arrested and is often depicted on television. It includes taking photographs of the arrestee, recording their fingerprints and conducting a national background check. The procedure can take anywhere from 45-minutes to several hours, depending on how busy the jail is at the time the arrestee is brought in.

It is only after the booking and processing procedure is completed that bail will be set and an inmate will be eligible for release.

The Bail Bond Process

The bail bond process begins by giving us a call and providing us with the name, birth date and date and time of arrest of the inmate you wish to bail out. We will use the information to verify their eligibility for bail and to locate them within the jail system. If not all of this info is readily available to you – don’t worry! We can still help you out.

Once their eligibility for bail has been established, we will have you fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. After that, we provide you with a receipt and dispatch one of our agents to the jail to post the bond. Your friend or loved one will then be released once they are processed out of the jail.

If you’re unable to meet with us in person, we are more than happy to complete the entire bail bond application process via phone, fax or email.
