This year, Halloween falls on a Saturday, and that means that for once, those of us with jobs can actually celebrate Halloween on Halloween! If you’re looking for some fun and interesting things to do this year, but you want to stay local, here are a few of the ghoulishly great Halloween events going on right here in the Santa Clarita Valley.
- From 1 to 3 p.m., scavenger hunts will be held at the Valencia and Canyon Country libraries. The whole family is invited to put on their costumes and join in on the fun.
- The Agua Dulce Winery is holding a Halloween Spectacular from 2 to 4 p.m. The costume party features pumpkin carving, bobbing for apples, as well as a ton of games and contests, including one for best costume! The Agua Dulce Winery is located at 9640 Sierra Highway, get there early for good parking!
- The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station held its 26th annual Haunted Jailhouse on Sunday, October 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will include displays, costume contests, music, food trucks and a petting zoo.
- Last but not least, The Church on the Way will be holding Candyland SCV for those looking for a Halloween alternative. The free event will include games, tons of candy, bounce houses, food trucks and will include a gospel theme throughout the event.
