The part of Highway 126 that runs through the Santa Clarita Valley is patrolled by deputies working out of the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station. When arrested in this area, individuals will be taken to the sheriff station to undergo booking and processing. They can remain at the jail for up to 72-hours, provided that the jail itself does not become overcrowded. If it does, or if an inmate has remained in custody there for 72-hours, it is likely that they will be transferred to Twin Towers Correctional Facility (in the case of men) or the Lynwood Jail (in the case of women). Once transfer occurs, the inmate will have to spend at least an additional 12 to 24-hours in custody as they go through another round of processing at their new location. To avoid this, it is best to get the bail bond process started while the inmate is still located at the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station Jail.

Those who are arrested in Ventura County will not be taken to Santa Clarita, but instead to the Ventura Police Station to undergo booking and processing. If not bailed out within 72-hours, inmates will be transferred to the Ventura County Jail and will need to be bailed out from that location instead.

How to Bail Someone Out

Bailing someone out of jail is easy, and the process doesn’t take very long. No matter what county your friend or loved one was arrested on along Highway 126, we can post  a bond at any of the jails.

The bail bond process starts by giving us a call and providing us with the name, birth date and date and time of arrest of the inmate you want to bail out. We will use the info you provide you locate them within the system and verify their eligibility for bail. Then, we have you fill out the short, simple bail bond application forms and sign the indemnitor’s agreement. Last, we provide you with a receipt and dispatch an agent to the jail to post the bond. Your friend or loved one will then be released a short time later.

We’re happy to meet you at our office, your home, or at the jail. However, if you’re unable to meet with us in person, we are well-equipped to handle the entire bail bond application process via phone, fax or email. No matter where you are, you’re not out of reach.

What is an Indemnitor?

The indemnitor is the person who signs the bail bond. When someone is bailed out, they still have to return to court at the appointed date and time. If they do, the bail bond will be exonerated and no further financial obligation will be required on the part of the indemnitor. If the defendant does not show up for court, though, it is the person who signs the bail bond that will be responsible for paying the full amount of bail to the courts – a cost which can be considerable. Thus, it is always best to only bail out those whom you know and trust.
